At Virginia Forge Company, all major processes—shearing,
forging, heat treating and machining—are automated and
computerized. Every production area features the latest equipment
arranged to ensure smooth, efficient workflow. Forgings are
produced on a 2,500-ton vertical press system with automatic
workpiece transfer. Machining is entirely automated.
The environment is far from typical—bright and clean,
and remarkably quiet by forging industry standards. Managing
and monitoring VFC systems and processes is a team of employees
